“Accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory”
George S. Patton
Learning English helps to discover hidden talents, and helps to overcome the fear and obstacles. Learning is life, and life is learning. Life offers various challenges and we cannot let fear stop us from learning. Using drama enables kids to use English appropriately in real conversations, expressing emotions and ideas and listening to the feelings and ideas of their peers. In other words, English is taught in the context in which it will be used, that is why The English Department took the challenge to organize a “Christmas Show” which tried to demonstrate the progress our students are having in English as well as their talents
It was developed in two moments: The first was the representation of the play “The Grinch” with students from Inicial to Third of Bachillerato, showing the real meaning of Christmas and the second was “The First Internal Christmas Carol Contest” in honour of Our Founders with students from eighth to third of bachillerato.
The teachers of the English Department want to say thank you, for those who took on the Christmas Show, we couldn’t be more grateful with the Whos and The Grinch, the singers and dancers, the Rumipamba talented and wonderful students and their parents of course. We couldn’t be more grateful with our authorities for their support and trust on us and every single person who helped us to achieve our dream
